Subject: T-29 restoration at AVIATION CADET MUSEUM, work party this Sept 27, 2010 on…

TO ALL NAVS INTERESTED IN PRESERVING OUR LEGACY>>>>

Please pass this posting on ( Ref http://www.afnoa.org web site Bulletin Board )

AFNOA is supporting an effort to restore and save the T-29 Nav-trainer (28ft forward section) that Errol Severe and his group at the Aviation Cadet Museum
( http://www.aviationcadet. org ) in Eureka Springs, Arkansas just bought. This is the only Aviation Cadet Museum in the world! Please see the photos on the web site: “T-29 walk through” This is the only T-29 Nav-trainer walk through plane in the world!

Side note: The USAF Air Museum does not have a T-29 and told me it does not desire one!!!!! Ohh Myy durn.

AFNOA and the Aviation Cadet Museum plan a get together/camp- out at the Aviation Cadet Museum this September 27, and for a week or more, depending on how fast we work! As the photos show, the innards of the T-29 are all in boxes. We will get all the instruments out, the crew chairs, the nav-work stations and equipment, and install, clean it all and detail paint as needed. We navs can really help here.

SO PLEASE JOIN IN. Bring a buddy. Wear work clothes and bring your tool box, because we are going to fix things up! Thanks.

Call Errol Severe at (479)253-5008, or e-mail him at Get a hold of Errol ASAP so we can can work to get a good reduced Motel rate.

The Aviation Cadet Museum is about one hour south west of the big tourist Entertainment area of Branson, MO, and the Museum itself is on the east side of Eureka Springs Arkansas. Eureka Springs is also a neat little tourist town. If you have any questions you can get a hold of me at ronaldpbarrett@ yahoo.com

The Museum needs our help and we as navigators can provide it. Ya gotta remember, Errol was a pilot! Chuckle, Ron Barrett, President AFNOA

P.S. Please pass this message on. Thank you.
